Patient Diagnosis:
The patient was diagnosed with an osteosarcoma that had invaded the acetabulum. Communications from the surgical team detailed that the patient was suffering from secondary bone metastases, requiring urgent surgical care.
Planned Procedure/Approach:
The surgeon requested assistance in the planning of an extraarticular Type II/ III resection of the osteosarcoma that would maximize bone conservation to enable reconstruction with a LUMiC cup implant. The surgeon would utilize a lateral approach to the hip.
