Education
Insight Surgery is dedicated to advancing surgical education through technology-driven innovation. Our Education & Simulation Partnerships are designed to equip current and future surgeons with the tools, data, and precision planning platforms necessary to improve consistency and patient outcomes.
Through patient-specific 3D modelling, surgical simulation, and precision guide technology, we create immersive learning environments that bridge traditional training with next-generation surgical execution.

Simulation
Under our simulator brand 3D LifePrints (TM), we offer bespoke and custom made clinical and surgical simulation solutions to meet all of your requirements.
These human tissue mimicking solutions are often used by our clients as alternatives to the use of cadavers and for advanced training.

For rapid turnaround urgent cases, we aim to deliver within 10 days. This is dependent on surgeon availaibility to meet planning deadlines.
We have several methods of receiving images including secure upload directly to our client portal, via Powershare in the USA or Sectre/IEP in the UK.
For standard orthopedic cases a CT scan is required for planning. In oncology settings, where the inclusion of tumour material is also required, an MRI scan is also needed.
We have a detailed scanning protocol document which can be shared with your radiology department to ensure the ideal images are captured first time.
If a scan has already been taken then we are happy to review to assess its suitability for planning.
Please refer to our Case Study page which has examples for each speciality.
Our workflow can be found on our Solutions page.
Our regulatory cleared client portal, EmbedMed, allows you to request new devices, review open cases, approve and provide feedback.
In the USA we manufacture in our hubs at the Texas Medical Centre and Children’s Nebraska Hospital.
In the manufacturing is distributed around our hubs in Manchester, the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre NHS and Wrightington Hospital NHS.
We are able to provide devices sterile into the USA market.
This will also be the case for UK customers by the end of 2026. Currently all devices are provided into the UK market clean but requiring sterilization.
Full regulatory clearance across the entire appendicular skeleton, covering pediatric patients from birth through to adult indications in the US and UK.
The most comprehensive FDA clearances in musculoskeletal applications.
Yes – we are implant agnostic and can incorporate plate geometry into guide design.
Both in the US and the UK we have strong partnerships with custom implant providers to be able to provide you with the ncessary hardware.
Yes, we regularly work with all allograft providers in the US and the UK to be able to assist in graft matching and subsquent design of surgical guides.
Broadly speaking, the process is:
- Surgeon advises Insight which allograft provider is preferred
- Insight, upon receiving image scans, provides the surgeon with suggested dimensions for the allograft – surgeon reviews and approves
- Surgeon contacts allograft provider and provides details for graft matching
- Allograft provider find suitable graft and CT scans
- Allograft provider provides Insight with CT scan of graft
- Insight designs appropriate medical devices
- Graft is sent to hospital prior to surgery
At Insight Surgery, we put patients first. Every medical device we produce strictly conforms to the regulations that safeguard patient safety.”
